Introduction
Artist Roger Long is a bit of a naturalist, a
bit of a historian, and a bit of an activist, but mostly he’s an artist. Roger has expressed himself in many ways over the
years. Boosting the salmon population begins
with Evergreens and ends with banners for Roger as he finished his ten year quest of
recording the six species of Salmon in 1995 by producing 179 banner paintings, plus many
signed and numbered prints. The six species
of Salmon cover Chinook, Steelhead, Coho, Sockeye, Chum and Pink.
Roger produces
Sumi, watercolors,
carved relief encaustics, acrylic mixed media, sand and gold leaf paintings and murals.
